Supporting improved nutrition and knowledge for families experiencing homelessness is the main objective of the commercial kitchen at the Renewal Center. Offering daily classes of hands-on training that include subjects such as safe food preparation and skill building on how to read recipes, will lead to occupants being comfortable in a kitchen.

Classes will include cooking portions to be conducted in occupants’ family unit where the whole family can watch or get involved! The kitchen will also serve daily meals to those living in the South Rooms. Food prepared at the Jesus Center’s commercial kitchen at Sabbath House will be provided daily.
